The Shiraz is grown on free draining sandy soil and the Winery Block Shiraz is grown on alluvial loam , these types of soil develop different characters in the fruit but both are of very high quality, but make a very substantial character wine when blended together.
The vines are hand pruned and hand picked ,fermented in barrel then lightly pressed and matured in French oak for 4 years which has produced a big full bodied and strong fruit spectrum shiraz.
Very good colour bright purple-red, a full bodied red with a harmonius array of blackberry and plum fruit with some dark chocolate and seamless oak, very elegant showing the vintage to full advantage.
